This bedtime yoga routine from SilverSneakers Master Trainer Sharlyn Green is designed to help you unwind at the end of the day, let go of mental and physical tension, and fall and stay asleep. You can try these movements right before going to bed or even in bed.

How the 4-Minute Bedtime Routine Works

Clear an open space on the floor by a wall or on your bed against your headboard. Place a pillow or small, folded blanket nearby in case you would like to use it to cradle your lower back at any time.

Then, just press play and follow along. Follow Green’s guidance on form, remembering that this bedtime routine should feel easy and relaxing. As long as you listen to your body and keep things comfortable, you’re doing great.

As always, safety is key. The exercises here may be different or more advanced than those you’ll experience in a SilverSneakers class. If you have a chronic condition, an injury, or balance issues, talk to your doctor about how you can exercise safely.
