SilverSneakers classes, from easiest to hardest
You want to try SilverSneakers classes but aren’t sure which one is right for you. Let us tell you a little bit about each of the SilverSneakers signature and SilverSneakers BOOMTM classes and list them from lowest to highest intensity. SilverSneakers BOOM is shorter (only 30 minutes) and designed for the more-active older adult, but all SilverSneakers classes can be modified to most comfort levels.
SilverSneakers Yoga
With SilverSneakers Yoga, participants complete seated and standing yoga poses. This class is suitable for beginners to advanced yogis, and it provides breathing exercises and relaxation without the strain on your joints.
SilverSneakers BOOM MIND
MIND combines yoga and Pilates to help relax the body and mind. Participants focus on core muscles, lower body strength and balance.
SilverSneakers Stability®
If you want to improve your balance and strength, SilverSneakers Stability is the class for you! Movements focus on strengthening the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving reaction time.
SilverSneakers Classic
SilverSneakers Classic focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities. Participants can use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball. Often a chair is used for seated exercises or standing support.
SilverSneakers Splash
SilverSneakers Splash provides a fun environment using a splash-board to increase movement and intensity options during shallow-water exercises. This class is suitable for all skill levels, and even safe for those who don’t swim.
SilverSneakers Circuit
SilverSneakers Circuit offers standing low-impact moves that alternate with standing upper-body strength. The class can be adapted for all fitness levels.
